If you love working with children, have boundless energy and enthusiasm (just like the children!), then this is the job for you. It's hard work but incredibly rewarding
Help us to change people's lives! With this role, you really can make a difference.
We are currently looking for bright, energetic, enthusiastic people over 18 years old to work as camp leaders and assistants in our summer 2020 children’s summer courses and camps. Some knowledge of Italian is preferable although not essential, but you should have experience of organising children’s activities and sports. You must be super-human, resilient, patient, have boundless energy and be able to cope on your own initiative, so a good sense of humour is essential. The course leader and assistant will have to work closely together and you must therefore be a ‘team player’ and easy to get on with.
We have different types of children's summer course, from half-day courses to 6-day residential camps.
For many children, the camp is the first time they sleep away from their parents ... you can help to learn how to be independent and self-sufficient.
‘Learning by doing’: The focus for the children is to enjoy a natural environment, away from computers and technology, taking part in fun activities and games in English. The end of each week rounds off with the children performing a short show for their parents before they go home.
There will be a training week from Monday 1st June (obligatory), and the courses start from Monday 8th June.
Interviews will be via Skype.
Closing date for applications: end of March 2020

About the school and city
IH Jesi and IH Ancona are sister schools in the Marche region of Italy.
Our schools are growing. In 2019 we moved into newer, larger premises in Ancona to give better facilities for both our young and mature students. This follows the opening of the Victoria Playhouse in Jesi, a new premises to facilitate the expansion of existing and new projects and concepts involving drama, music, learning by doing, life skills, etc, all using English as the medium of learning rather than an end in itself.
Students at both schools range from 3 and up, with a comfortable mix of both children and adults.
Giuseppe Romagnoli, the founder and director of both schools, passionately believes that everyone has the right to reach their full potential whatever their individual strengths and in whatever direction they choose.
